Brunching and Munching at Cajun Kitchen
Walking down Main Street in Ventura, you are surrounded by a plethora of smells coming from different food places all around. With so many food options to choose from, Cajun Kitchen Café stood out because of it’s playful name and reserved area on the corner of Main and
Palm Street. It is a family oriented café that caters to all of your breakfast and lunch needs with a home style ambiance.
Cajun Kitchen is a divine brunch spot that offers a wide variety of food choices. The classic foods that make up breakfast and lunch are readily available that consist of, but are not limited to: pancakes, French toast, omelets, salads, sandwiches, burritos, and breakfast samplers.
This café is best for any age, especially for families, whether you are with friends or eating solo. If you plan on dining solo, there is a countertop available to sit at with a friendly staff ready to take your order.
We tried the veggie burger, French dip, and huevos rancheros. A satisfying mixture of breakfast and lunch that were definitely filling meals. If you’re not into spicy foods stray away from the huevos rancheros. The veggie burger was savory, especially after adding their special Cajun seasoning! The French dip was a bit lighter on the meat and came with fries that made for a great pairing. If you want to enhance the flavor of your food, without a doubt add some Cajun seasoning to your meal.
The humble café is self seating which is great for those who wish to choose whether they want to sit in private areas or don’t mind neighboring fellow foodies. For those with dietary restrictions (vegetarians, vegans, etc.), there are some options available on the menu. There are soyrizo burritos, veggie burgers, and delicious salads to choose from. In addition to this, the servers working are amiable and receptive to your needs. Cajun Kitchen Café has an intimate setting with a hospitable staff that also has various locations in the Santa Barbara and Goleta area. The best times to go in without having to deal with the food rush would be around mid morning and post lunch time. After taking a walk down Main Street and enjoying the refreshing views of Ventura, refuel your body with a delicious plate from this scrumptious café!
